On June 20th, 22nd and 23rd, in the historic center of Monte Vidon Combatte, the Lavender Festival of the Aso Valley will take place. On this occasion there will be a series of activities to remember the ancient peasant tradition of lavender cultivation.
The festival has existed since 2012, when lavender was cultivated again for the purpose of tourism and enhancement of the territory.
An opportunity to get to know a small village in the Marche hinterland rich in culture and traditions.
THURSDAY 20 JUNE

9.00 p.m. – “Lavender in the world of flowers: stories, legends and curiosities”.
SATURDAY 22 JUNE
At the “PALOMBARA”
4.00 p.m. – Opening of the Lavender Market, organized by the association “Lavender Gardens in the Marches”, with distillation workshops, making of lavender bags, entertainment for children, etc.
At the “TANA DI TINA”
4.30 p.m. – “The art of setting the table with flowers”, by Barbara Ronchi della Rocca, an expert in good manners and the history of etiquette. Presented by Claudio Porchia.
At “LA PALOMBARA”
5.00 p.m. – “LAVENDER at 360 degrees: history, botany, cultivation, harvesting, distillation, transformation into products, cosmetic, medicinal, food use, marketing”. Conference organized by the Cultural Association “Lavender Gardens in the Marche Region”
At “LA BOTTAIA”
6.30 p.m. – “JEWELS OF TASTE. Vinegar of flowers, wild herbs, fruits and vegetables”, with ANGELA MOSTI.
At the “CHURCH OF SAN BIAGIO”

“Walk among flowers, wild herbs and history”, with the Valtenna Amateur Sports Association.
12.30 p.m.: On the way back from the walk, brunch for the participants at the Vecchio Borgo di Monte Vidon Combatte by Territorio Maestro, with products from Valdaso.
