The Municipalities of Montalto delle Marche and Monte Rinaldo have decided to jointly present a new edition cultural review called “Cento Lire Festival“.
The purpose of the festival is to make available to residents, tourists, travelers of the roots the material useful for the knowledge of their family and community identity.
In the Municipality of Montalto delle Marche, the festival will be held from 8 to 15 September 2024, during which a photographic exhibition, choral concerts related to emigration and the reading of passages from migrants’ stories will be organized.
A study day will be organized with Iuri Silvestri with the presentation of his genealogical research on the community, during which photos collected by the Provincial Photo Library of Fermo will be projected.
The festival will also be an opportunity to welcome the Argentine community of General Lagos with which the twinning between the Municipality of Montalto delle Marche and the Community of General Lagos will also be stipulated.
Travelers of the roots will be guided in the knowledge of the products and in the preparation of traditional recipes of the area.
It will also be an opportunity for the presentation of the application dedicated to roots travelers, linked to the www.visitmontaltodellemarche.it website, which will allow you to view genealogical research, photographic material, local structures that offer services related to the “Roots Passport” and the mapping of the annual events that will take place in the area.
